4th of July

Day 1

The morning of the 4th of July we headed over to our ward breakfast. Our ward has a firetruck, so the excitement for the kids was when they sprayed out 500 gallons of water. Although, that only lasted all of 30 seconds! But the kids loved it! What a better way to cool off when the temperature is already 100 at 8:00AM! Then a ride on the fire truck of course! Tage thought the truck ride was the best.

After the boys went to the pool and had lunch we headed up to Prescott, AZ to spend the weekend with some of our friends and go to The Worlds Oldest Rodeo that night. We LOVE Rodeos! The weather in Prescott was so nice! So much cooler! It rained off and on that afternoon and of course at the rodeo that night, but we had covered seats so it was OK. I just felt bad for those cowboys sliding around in all that mud! It was a good rodeo though and we had fun!

Hotel the first night. Do not recommend staying here. I knew Hotel St. Michael was a historical place but didn't think it would be so small! You actually hit the bed when you opened the door. All the hotels in Prescott were booked weeks before, so this was my only option I could find 2 weeks in advance. Next time I will book sooner! Prescott is a happening place around the 4th!

Day 2

Breakfast at Hotel St. Michael Bistro. Then enjoyed the Prescott parade. It was actually a really long parade so we didn't last the whole time. But it was good. After a little sight seeing of the historical town we headed back over to Tom and Romney Randa's to hang out. It rained again while the boys were playing outside. Then they were having a blast playing in the mud.

After a yummy BBQ and talking around the fire, we hit the sack. This time in a much nicer hotel.......the Randa's RV!!!

Thanks Randa's for a great weekend! Count us in for next year! :)
